so, fastjack is a friend of mine. he’s one of the most witty and quotable people i’ve ever met. for several months, i’ve been logging quotes (out-of-context, naturally) from him that came up at various times during IM conversations. yesterday, i decided to put them all in a text file and write a php script that pulls one up at random when the page is reloaded. so here it is. (also, apparently some IRC fellows in the austin area (particularly lasher/sam) had a similar idea a long time ago; theirs was implemented as a bot. anyway, they gave me the quote file used by the bot, effectively doubling the number of quotes in the file. so, yeah, visit the above URL. reload a few times (or a bunch of times). laugh, cry.
